Here at The Fair Trader, we offer layaway plans as part of our Boutique Service, allowing our valuable customers to make weekly or monthly payments on purchases of $75.00 or more. So, stop in, browse our store and feel free to ask us anything. We are more than happy to search for that special item you are you looking for the perfect gift – or for yourself!

For those of you who missed this lovely store feature but now see it popping up recently in many ‘Big Box’ retailers, layaway started during The Great Depression when people simply didn’t have the cash to make a purchase all at once, but layaway plans started to phase out during the 1980’s and by the 1990’s with so many different stores offering their own store credit cards, layaway seemed to be a distant memory.  The owners of The Fair Trader remember, and have made this a part of the way our store functions from the beginning.
