Fair Trade
Fair Trade organizations promote producer's cultural traditions, adapting their work for Western markets while preserving local cultural identity. Fair traders conduct business in a manner that respects workers' rights and strives to reduce the often hidden human cost of so-called "bargains." Moreover, Fair Trade organizations work primarily with small businesses, democratically run associations and/or cooperatives that provide healthy alternatives to large-scale manufacturing and sweatshops.
